Capstrat Blizzard of Giving

The 2007 Capstrat Blizzard of Giving was an award-winning drive-to-Web campaign. Printed and mailed vouchers sent guests to a Flash Web site, where they could redeem the vouchers by choosing from a list of charities to which Capstrat would contribute.
We had a 45% response rate on the mailed cards, and we reached 10 to 15% more people using the pass-it-on feature.
I brainstormed the concept with Dave Macmillan and Deborah Martin, worked on visual and interaction design with Shane Smith, and developed the Flash with Mike Kibbel and Will Langley.
The Capstrat Blizzard Holiday Card site was seasonal and has been decommissioned.

Each donation allowed visitors to enter holiday messages, which appeared as snowflakes that users could explore. Additionally, donations were doubled for guests willing to pass it on to three friends.
